Huawei: «the Volume of the digital economy in the world in 2025 will reach 23 trillion dollars»
The volume of the digital economy in the world in 2025 will reach 23 trillion USD compared to 12.9 trillion in 2017. The basis of this growth will be the transformation of different industries on the basis of intelligent connections. This forecast from the company Huawei announced on the fifth anniversary of Ukraine 2019 Telecom conference, held 6-9 September in Odessa.
According to the company, information and communication technologies (ICTs) can become the driving force of economic development. According to the IMF, global GDP growth will slow from 3.8% in 2017-to 3.5% in 2020. Therefore, States have attempted to overcome this trend through the promotion of ICT development. According to the International telecommunication Union, the plans have 156 countries. Ukraine is not included into their number.
According to the Global index of networking Huawei, by 2018 Ukraine occupies 49th position among the 79 States the level of development of ICT and refers to the group of developing countries. According to experts Huawei, this cluster has a high potential for economic growth through the development of telecommunication infrastructure.
The primary basis for the digital economy is the ICT infrastructure. The main priority should be to ensure national coverage of mobile and fixed high-speed connection.
