LG announces the release of a new premium smartphone with OLED display FullVision
Company LG Electronics announces the release of a new premium smartphone with a plastic display FullVision developed on the basis of OLED technology, the first mobile device with a similar type of screen. The company began using FullVision in the production of LG G6, and then used in LG Q6. The new flagship of LG for the first time since the release of the LG Flex 2 in 2015 will be equipped with OLED display that will be an important step in the development of mobile devices based on OLED technology. The design of the new smartphone has become more sophisticated thanks to the OLED display. The use of OLED technology is the ideal solution for VR applications, key chiogo trend in the industry of mobile devices.
With the purchase of a modern smartphone users want larger screen with a small size mobile device that is comfortable to hold in one hand. Display LG FullVision is an important innovation in the field of smartphones, the main feature of which – a minimum framework around the screen. OLED is a new stage of development displays FullVision. Thanks to OLED technology, users will get clear and rich color with Pro review of images and video in good quality. Diagonal OLED display FullVision will be six inches, which exceeds the parameters of the smartphones released over the past four years. At the same time, the device will be significantly reduced compared to previous year model – LG V20. LG also reduced the top and bottom of the frame for 20% and 50%, respectively, compared to V20, and removed the logo from the bottom of the front panel to increase the visible surface of the screen.
Resolution support 4.15 million pixels (1440 x 2880) will provide a preview of exciting visual effects on the OLED display FullVision. OLED technology allows you to reproduce perfect black and rich, vibrant colors with enhanced color spectrum. LG introduced new smartphone in the optimal algorithm of images that developed over years of scientific research OLED technology. OLED displays support 148% sRGB color field 1 for playback of digital images as well as 109% color space DCI-P3 2 for digital video. Another important advantage of OLED technology is the operational response time which is 10 times higher than standard LCD displays. Accelerated response time effectively eliminates a residual image, which is an important feature when watching action movies and VR. Standard support HDR10 allows you to view the video a whole new level.
The new smartphone will be equipped with LG display P-OLED: the ergonomic design of the device assumes a curved frame around the display and comfortable use with one hand. P-OLED is the use of pixels on the plastic under the spoon, which is more durable in comparison with glass substrate. In addition, the display is protected by glass Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5 that minimize anticipated damage. The use of hardened hull and the scanning of the pixels will protect the device from fires – problems faced by users of devices based on OLED technology, which is eliminated through the use of technology P-OLED. Encapsulation significantly reduces the oxidation of pixels, and scanning technology pixels allows to apply a power saving mode for each pixel to save battery power.
