Smartphones have become appealing to the buyers for a few years longer
Two years ago, the publication GSMArena conducted a survey of almost 15,000 people, according to which it was found that in the overwhelming majority of buyers (47%) use a smartphone for two years, and another 25% change and even rarer. However, technology is not standing still, and current devices are able to provide sufficient performance and a pleasant user experience on a much longer period of time.
This is confirmed by a new survey, conducted by the same publication on the same sample at 13 137: more than half of the now respondents (52%) prefer not to change the smartphone for three years or more and only 11% do it once a year. This trend may be related to the fact that people have no great desire to pay extra for minor updates to an already high-quality cameras and hardware, but also with rising prices for the device and, at times, disappearing chips (like the 3.5 mm connectors).
