Uzhgorod will be the next city in the network of the innovative Vodafone Smart routes Routes
At the end of August 2016, a unique and innovative tourist route Vodafone will appear in Uzhgorod. The project is implemented jointly with Uzhgorod city Council.
Tourist route in Uzhgorod will bring together 12 of the most interesting attractions of the city. The itinerary will start with the Transcarpathian Museum of folk architecture and life, and end on the petőfi square. The total route length is 3 km away, so guests will be 1.5-2 hours to go through all the important locations of the city and learn interesting details about them. A symbol of Uzhgorod route was a friendly bear.
The route in Uzhgorod, as in other cities, will be laid with the arrows and the special signs with QR-codes, symbols and numbers locations. Signs with QR codes on the route are placed directly close to the arrows indicate the path to the next location.
While reading the QR code with your smartphone or tablet, a tourist is taken to a page with a detailed description and photo of the nearest historical or cultural object, square, house, monument. The description of the monuments added the links to the detailed city map, indicating the locations where other QR plates with the bear. In addition to historical information, the Uzhgorod side and guests of the city can find interesting stories and legends. Over time, the route will be supplemented by video tours.
Trail in Uzhgorod will complement the innovative map city routes – Vodafone Smart Routes, in which modern information technologies, particularly 3G services of Internet are used for development of tourist attraction and infrastructure of Ukrainian cities.
Network Vodafone Smart Routes
Today, the network consists of three routes: in Poltava, Chernivtsi, and Kherson. First on the map of innovative tourist routes Vodafone Smart Routes was the “Path of legends” in Poltava, opened on September 23. Visual symbol of Poltava route is a lucky horseshoe. The route joined 20 cultural and historical monuments of Poltava. Printed tourist guides “Trail of legends” hosted in the Museum-estate of Ivan Kotlyarevsky (Poltava, Cathedral square, 3) and the store operator (Poltava, Frunze str., 66).
Tourist route “Discover Chernivtsi” appeared in the city on 1 October 2015. The visual symbol of Chernivtsi innovative route that brings together 21 of the most interesting landmark of the multicultural city was a fun hedgehog. Tourist guides available in the store operator (Chernivtsi, Soborna street, 10) and in tourist information centre (Chernivtsi, Tsentralna square 1).
26 may 2016 opened tourist route “the Trail of the owl” in Kherson, which includes 20 attractions. The name of the route received from its main character – funny-owl-sailor. Tourist guides available in the store operator (Kherson, Ushakova, 30/1).
