Vodafone 4G speeds in Kiev
Vodafone does not stop the construction and development of the network during quarantine: the company has successfully completed testing of AirScale trial on 4G network on frequencies of 1800 and 2600 MHz in Kiev. At the same time managed to achieve a record data transfer rate – 525 Mbps. AirScale – the equipment of the next generation from Nokia that are ready to work with the 5G.
Mobile communication and mobile Internet have become for many Ukrainians not only a means of communication but also a tool for remote work. So Vodafone Ukraine continues intensively to expand the network, increase its capacity and introduce innovative solutions.
In particular, the operator has completed translation work for LTE on band 15MHz throughout Transcarpathian region. This allowed to significantly increase the capacity of the network Vodafone in the region. The company’s engineers reconfigured more than 250 sites in the Carpathian region, including in remote mountain areas. Expanded bandwidth of the LTE network in Odessa and Odessa region, Zhytomyr region, and in Uman, Cherkasy region. Vodafone is pursuing a dynamic expansion of the range of from 15 to 20 MHz in Kropyvnyts’ke and in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions. At the final stage of the technical work for the expansion band LTE in Ivano-Frankivsk and Volyn regions.
Vodafone continues to support the Ukrainians who stay at home in quarantine, and provides free access to educational and entertainment services, Vodafone Press, Vodafone Music, Bookmate and BeFit. Vodafone also extended to 30.04 for prepaid tariffs the opportunity to activate Online Pass to unlimited to communicate in popular social networks and messengers. And in support of the project “Ukrainian school online” is opened free access to the broadcasts lessons via the Vodafone TV service.
